The Space
Huge flat, open space with a senior center, recreation center and school all adjacent. Lots of partners available to use this space! In 1951 the Park Department acquired the land now known as Marcus Park. It was named after Herbert Marcus, the founder of Neiman-Marcus. Marcus is a 17.1-acre community park, established in 1963.

The Building
In 1951 the Park Department acquired the land now known as Marcus Park. It was named after Herbert Marcus, the founder of Neiman-Marcus. The recreation center was built in 1976 and merely took on the name of the park. Marcus is located in North Dallas, just south of I635 near Webb Chapel and Marsh Ln.
