The Building
The South Dallas Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. The 34,000 square foot facility features a 120-seat black box theater, a visual arts gallery, multi-purpose room, and visual/performance arts studios
Our mission is to provide instruction and enrichment in the performing, literary, media and visual arts with emphasis on the African contribution to world culture. We aim to educate and inspire by offering a variety of programs that are influenced by the vibrancy and diversity of the African Diaspora.
Hours
Sunday - Monday: Closed
Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
Wednesday & Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
The Center is closed on all major holidays. When holidays fall on a Monday, the Center is closed the following Tuesday. Special hours apply during the 5 week summer program. Public access is limited during this program.

Free surface lot parking is available at the facility.

The South Dallas Cultural Center is within walking distance (.279 miles) of 1 Dart bus stop. Routes 26, 12 service the area. The Green Line is the closest DART train. Please visit www.DART.org for up to date information on stops, routes and schedules.
Accessibility
There are flat pathways that provide access from parking into the venue. Venue has easy access for a person using a wheelchair. There are restrooms for people with disabilities.
Security
Guest must ring doorbell on the 2nd Avenue side of facility to gain access into building.
